Dorothy G. Burns Wolfe, 75, of Newton, died Wednesday, March 10, 1993, at Skiff Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.
The Rev. David Rex, pastor of the Newton Church of God, conducted the services.
Burial was at McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Memorials in her name are being accepted.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Ora L. “Buck” and Karen of Newton; two daughters, Betty (Mrs. Gerald) Repp and Dixie (Mrs. Larry) McKinney, both of Newton; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Donald Burns of Prairie City and John Burns of Lucas, and three sisters, Velma Ross of Wichita, Kansas, Eva Crowter of Centerville and Wava Tingley of Newton.
Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jesse, May 2, 1992.
She was a member of the Ashton Chapel near Mingo.
Mrs. Wolfe was homemaker and was also employed as a cook, at several local restaurants.
The daughter of Ora M. and Prudie A. Walker Burns, she was born January 31, 1918 in Roundup, Montana.
She was married to Jesse Lee Wolfe April 6, 1939 in Unionville, Missouri.
Mrs. Wolfe resided in Unionville, Missouri until 1961, then moved to Jasper County, residing in Prairie City until 1970 and in Mingo.
