HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- John E. McAllister, 82, of Hot Springs, Ark., father of Linda Nelson and her husband, Jim, of Newton, died Tuesday, March 2, at a hospital in Hot Springs.

Memorial services will be held Friday at the Village United Methodist Church in Hot Springs. The body was cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the HSV Shrine Club Memorial Fund, Shriners Hospitals for Children or other charities of the donor's choice.
