Everett Walker, former Newburg Resident, Dies

Funeral services were held July 18th at Norwalk, Calif., for Everett J. Walker, 54, Norwalk, who died July 15th at Anaheim, Calif.

The Rev. W. E. Harrell, pastor of the First Baptist church of Norwalk, officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Park there.

A native of Newburg, he was born July 20th, 1908. He had resided in California for the past 14 years.

Survivors include his wife, Harriet; five sons, Lyle and Lloyd of Norwalk, Donald of Maywood, Claif., Robert of San Diego, Calif., and Ivan of Las Vegas, Nev.; three daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Clark of Beuna Park, Calif., Mrs. Arlita Weise of Downey, Calif, and Miss Faye Ann Walker of Norwalk.

Other survivors include 12 garndchildren; his mother, Mrs. Rose Walker of Grinnell; three brothers, Harold of Brooklyn, Earl of Elyria, Ohio, and Philip of St. Louis, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Lauber of Waterloo and Mrs. Goldie Brown of Panorama City, Calif.
