Cynthia Koon Dies Today
Baxter – Mrs. Henry (Cynthia Ann) Koon, 98, Colonial Manor, Baxter, a longtime resident of Jasper County, died this morning at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter is handling arrangements which have not been completed.
Surviving are a daughter, Minnie Bierly of Washington state and a number of grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Norvel and Dennis.
She was born Sept. 20, 1872.

Cynthia Koon Services Set
Baxter – Funeral services for Mrs. Henry (Cynthia Ann) Koon, 98, Colonial Manor in Baxter, a longtime resident of Jasper County, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter.
The Rev. T. A. Thompson, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, west of Baxter.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1925.
Mrs. Koon was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ and the Autumn Leaf Club.
The daughter of Reuben and Hannah Humphries, she was born Sept. 20, 1872 at Adair.
She was married to Henry Koon in 1889.
Mrs. Koon died Wednesday morning at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
