Beverly Kahn Funeral Rites Are Conducted
Services for Mrs. Morris O. (Beverly) Kahn, 43, 1013 S. 13th Ave. W., a resident of Newton for 38 years, were today at Loehr Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Robert Gilliam, of Kansas City, Mo., former rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Newton, officiated. Burial was in Newton Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Heart Fund will be accepted. Contributions may be sent in care of Mrs. William V. Wilson, 518 E. 2nd St. S., Newton.
Surviving are her widower; a son, Gary at home; two daughters, Laurie at home; Mrs. John (Cindi) Humphries of Iowa City; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Sanders of Miami Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Kahn was a member of the Theta Chi Sorority and had served as Jasper County chairman of Youth for Understanding.
She was born Sept. 9, 1926, at Marshalltown and attended Newton schools. She was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and Drake University in Des Moines.
She was married Nov. 23, 1946, in Des Moines.
Mrs. Kahn died Sunday afternoon at her home.
