Rairdon, Charlotte (Wiatt)

Mrs. Chas. A. Rairdon died at her home seven miles northwest of Newton last Saturday, aged 36 years and 11 days, after an illness of eight weeks. She leaves a husband and two sons, aged 4 and 8 years.

The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Wiatt, of this city, born in Jasper County and married in October 1885 to C. A. Rairdon. She was a good wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her loved ones and a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Rev. E. C. Brooks officiating. A very large concourse of people attested the love and esteem in which she was held. The body was laid to rest in the Independence Cemetery.
