Pinegar, Martin
The body of Martin Pinegar was brought here from What Cheer for burial last Tuesday. He had been staying with his children in Des Moines and about a month ago went to visit his children at What Cheer. His death was wholly unexpected. He died suddenly from heart failure.
Mr. Pinegar was born in Kentucky nearly seventy-six years ago; forty years ago he came to Marengo, Ia., and twenty-six years ago he came to Jasper County. His home was near Wildcat Grove.
His business was farming and for many years his sons worked in the coalmines. His wife died over two years ago, and of their twelve children, there are five sons and three daughters living. All of them were at the funeral. The funeral services were held at the U. P. Church at Wildcat Grove and were conducted by Rev. C. C. Harrah. For many years his church membership was with the United Brethren.
