FORMER RESIDENT, OLIVER MULFORD, DIES IN OHIOOliver L. Mulford
Oliver L. Mulford, 73, a former resident of the Kellogg and Newburg communities, died Tuesday morning at a Cincinnati, Ohio, hospital where he had been a patient the past week.
Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Dillsboro, Ind.
Graveside rites will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Hazelwood cemetery with the Rev. James T. Robinson officiating. Friends may call at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home.
The son of Oliver S. and Mary Livingstone Mulford, he was born on Apr. 20th, 1890, at Dillsboro, Ind. He was a rural mail carrier for 28 years and retired in 1948 to make his home in Dillsboro.
He was married to Ruby Hendrickson of Newburg in 1917 and she preceded him in death. In 1949, at Dillsboro, he was united in marriage with Jennie Steuver.
He was a member of the Methodist church, American Legion, 40 & 8, and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie, of Dillsboro, Ind., two sons, Robert K. of Kellogg and Oliver J. of Mankato, Minn.; three sisters, Maude Burton and Ruth Schilling of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jeannette Wahlbloom of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother, Jim of Cincinnati; three grandsons; and a stepson, Paul Ed Steuver.
He was preceded in death by the first wife, a son and a daughter.
