Miesner, Doris (Gunsaulus)

Payson, Ariz. - Funeral services for Doris Darlene Gunsaulus Miesner, 66, a former Jasper County resident, were held recently in Payson, Ariz.

She died Wednesday, Feb. 7, of cancer.

Graveside rites will be held at a later date at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

Survivors are her husband Ralph; three daughters, Betsy Lynn Veber, Pamela Kay Veber and Patricia Rae Rona, all of the Phoenix, Ariz., area; and four grandchildren.

Also surviving are a sister, DeLoris Butler of Newton; and two brothers, James D. Gunsaulus of Newton and Ron C.M. Gunsaulus of Long Beach, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maxwell Burton Veber in 1976, a son, Daniel Scott Veber, in 1978, an infant daughter, Dawn Denice Veber, and her parents in 1975.

The daughter of Frank L. and Pearl M. Wood Gunsaulus, she was born June 15, 1923 in Jasper County and was a 1941 graduate of Newton Community High School.

She was married to Max Veber June 22, 1946.

Following their marriage she lived in Kellogg where she and her husband were partners in the Veber-Morris Oil Co.

They moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., in 1962 where she lived until retiring to Payson in 1988.
