Lynn (Mosher) Peterson
January 28, 1946 ~ November 25, 2019 (age 73)

Lynn Peterson, 73, of Newton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, November 25, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends immediately after the service with a coffee time at the funeral home. A family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please memorials can be left to Lynn’s family.

Lynn Mosher was born in Hampton on January 28, 1946 to Kenneth and Marjorie (Hamilton) Mosher. She attended country school and graduated in 1964 from Clarion High School. Upon graduation she attended Mason City School of Cosmetology. Lynn’s life was spent as a hair stylist for 30 years. She worked at Hotel Beauty Shop, Family Hair Care Center and Classic Hair Design, as well as in Clinton, Waterloo, Webster City and Newton.

On June 12, 1966 she married Roger Paulsen of Clarion. To this union were born two daughters; Tina and Dana. On July 26, 1986 she married Ronald Squibb of Waterloo, Iowa. They made their home there until Ron passed away on January 10, 1989. Through her life she enjoyed being a grandma, visits from her daughters and grandchildren, and trips with her daughters, and taking care of her pets. She also enjoyed gardening and working on genealogy, reading and supporting various humane animal societies. She was a member of the Grinnell Chapter of DAR for many years.

Lynn is a survived by her daughters, Tina (Steve) Antle of Newton and Dana (Christian) Peterson of Weldon Spring , Missouri; grandchildren, Chas and Caitlynn Antle and Carlee, Cade, and Kenzie Peterson; her great-grandson Kenneth; sister, Lila (Mike) Kelly of Des Moines; her nieces and nephews; and her special friend Charlie Huff. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Ron Squibb and Ron Marshall; and her siblings, Kim Allen, LuAnn May, Jon Kenneth, and Lois (Mosher) Riedel. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 25 Nov 2019.
