A Beautiful Life Ended
Hayes, MisciaMiss Miscia Hayes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hayes, died at her home near Reasnor last Wednesday after a protracted illness of then or eleven weeks, resulting from a violent attack of la grippe. Miss Hayes, age was about twenty-four years. She was a most promising and interesting young lady, whose gentle manners and charming graces had endeared her to everybody.
She graduated from the country schools when she was but fourteen years of age, and received a certificate to teach before she was yet seventeen. In all her school work she was eminently successful and only missed one term in seven years.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. S. Dunlavey at Mt. Zion M. E. Church at 11 o’clock on Friday, a large concourse of sorrowing friends being present. Miscia’s death has caused the profoundest sorrow throughout the neighborhood where the sweet influence of her pure and noble life has been felt by old and young from her childhood.
