WM. C. GRANQUIST DIED AT NEWTON HOSPITAL SUNDAY

Funeral Services Held Tuesday Morning From Colfax Immaculate Conception Church.

Wm. C. Granquist, 41, died Sunday, Aug. 17th at the Skiff Hospital in Newton, following a short illness, having entered the hospital on Saturday evening due to inflammation of the pancreas.

He was born June 25, 1906, in Colfax, the son of Herman and Mary Granquist and spent his entire life in this community, attending the local school and working as a laborer in factory and other places.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Granquist; three sisters, Dorothy Beckham and Mrs. Virginia Wearmouth, both of Newton and Mrs. Nettie Cary of California, several nieces and nephews. His father, three sisters and a nephew preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning from the Immaculate Conception church with the Rev. D. F. Cahalan officiating.

Pall bearers were: John Granquist, Clarence Granquist, Russel1 Granquist, Nels Granquist, Leonard Granquist and Steve Marscisak.

Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Frank Millburn. Burial was in the Colfax cemetery.
