Gannon, Teresa AnnKAILUA-KONA, Hawaii — Teresa Ann Gannon, 73, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, formerly of Mingo, died of a stroke Sept. 16 in Hawaii. Memorial services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church to Valeria with the Rev. Phil Cardenzana officiating. Burial will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Farrar. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements. The family will be available one hour prior to the service. Memorials will be accepted to Colfax-Mingo Dollars for Scholars, or to the Kona Association for the Performing Arts.
The daughter of Leo and Teresa Maloney Gannon, she was born Sept 14, 1928, in Mingo, She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy of Des Moines, attended Clark College and received a degree from DePaul University in Chicago, III. She sang solo for the New York Opera and later had a career in marketing in New York and Chicago for Magazine Research Inc., MRI. She retired to Hawaii in 1991 and worked as an artist.
Survivors Include a brother, William Gannon of Mingo, and two sisters, Joan Gannon of Hawaii and Frances Sullivan of Oak Park. Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
