JUNE 18, 1940 ~ OCTOBER 5, 2019 (AGE 79)

Judy’s funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, October 10th at the Mingo United Methodist Church, 202 W. Main St. in Mingo. Conducted by Rev. Phil Dicks.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, October 9th at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery in rural Mingo.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the donor’s choice. Memorials may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home or at the church on the morning of the service. If you are mailing your memorial to the funeral home please add, Attn: Rumbaugh Family on the envelope.

Judith Ann “Judy” Rumbaugh, the daughter of Donald and Ethel Poorbaugh Fuller was born on June 18, 1940 in Cambridge, Iowa. She graduated from Mingo High School in 1958.

On August 8, 1958, Judy was united in marriage with Vernon Sanders in Mingo, Iowa. They were blessed with two daughters, Deborah and Beverly. On December 21, 1978, Judy was united in marriage with Carroll Rumbaugh in Newton, Iowa. She was a homemaker and farmer’s wife. Judy loved being around her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had also enjoyed bowling and cooking. She was a member of the Mingo United Methodist Church. Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend.

Judy died on Saturday, October 5, 2019, surrounded by the love of her family at MercyOne Newton Medical Center in Newton. She was 79. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish Judy’s memory are her husband, Carroll of Mingo; daughters, Deborah (Mark) Harre of Ankeny and Beverly (Bob) Grimes of Agency, Missouri; step children, Brian (Carol) Rumbaugh of Mingo and Laurie (Henry) Rouse of Altoona; her grandchildren, Jake Harre (Kristen Johnson) of Ankeny, Justin Harre of West Des Moines, Jimmy (Marissa) Grimes of Pleasant Hill and Matt (Jennifer) Grimes of Papillion, Nebraska; her step grandchildren, Candice (Nate) Betts of Boone, Tiffany Rumbaugh of Des Moines, Eric (Rachel) Rouse of Runnells and Marci (Josh) Rhedin of Mondamin; seven great-grandchildren, her brother, Jerry (Teri) Fuller of Yuma, Arizona; and two nephews. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 05 Oct 2019.
