HUTSON

Word reached here Wednesday morning of the death at Bourne, Oregon, of William H. Hutson late of Mingo. In the absence of particulars it is fair to suppose that he was a victim of accident in one of the mines, since he was engaged in that business when last heard from. His brother, Frank, residing at Melrose, Mont., repaired to Bourne, at once, and is superintending arrangements for bringing the remains home to Mingo for interment, and should arrive not later than next Monday. Mr. Hutson’s father resides at Mingo.

Frank Hutson returned to Mingo, arriving Sunday with the remains of his brother, W. H., notice of whose sudden death appeared in last week’s paper. Contrary to general belief, Mr. Hutson was a victim of disease – lead poisoning, from which he was suffering when he was at home last summer and fall. He was taken very ill on Friday, 1st ins., with symptoms that finally developed pneumonia, and sank so rapidly that he passed away on Sunday. Mr. Hutson was a young man of great promise, a favorite in his old home at Mingo, and his sudden death has produced general sorrow wherever he was known. The funeral was from the M.E. church, Mingo, at 10:00 a.m. last Monday, attended by a great number of people, and the interment was in the Sams cemetery.
