Carl Dunnick, Lynnville, Dies; Rites Tuesday

Carl Dunnick, 71, Lynnville, died early Sunday morning at a Grinnell hospital after a lenghty illness and hospitalization of the past three weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethel Church with the Rev. Max Brandt, pastor of the Lynnville Church of God, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. W. H. Warrior, pastor of the Bethel Churh. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery at Lynnville. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Dunnick was the son of Isaac and Anngjie Dunnick and was born north of Lynnville on July 21st, 1890. He attended the local schools in Sully.

On Dec. 20th, 1916, he was united in marriage with Jennie Roten and they started farming south of Lynnville. Later they moved north of Lynnville to the Bethel community where he was active in church and community affairs. He retired from farming in 1947 and moved to Lynnville where he lived until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and seven sisters. Survivors include his wife, Jennie; one sister Mrs. Harold Lamphier of Killduff; and several nieces and nephews.
