MRS. DOUGLASS DIES SATURDAY NEAR MALCOM
Eunice Isabelle Douglass (nee Stimson)

Mrs. Eunice Isabelle Douglass, age 53, the wife of Leslie E. Douglass of Route 2, Malcom, (IA) passed away suddenly in her home late Saturday afternoon December 24.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Douglass were held today at 2.00 p.m., at the Malcom Presbyterian Church with the Rev. E. E. Beattie, pastor of the church officiating. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetry.

Pallbearers were: Leonard Latcham, Virgil Sherwood, Paul Bacon, Alvin Mann, Henry Rohlfing and Herschel Griffith. Flower bearers were: Mrs. Lester Baltisberger, Mrs. Paul Bacon, Mrs. Virgil Sherwood, Mrs. Fred Stone and Mr. Louis Ford.

Organist was Mrs. Nellie Farley.

Mrs. Douglass was the daughter of William and Flora Stimson and was born in Poweshiek county, Iowa, on April 4, 1907. She received her early education in the local rural schools near her home and graduated from Malcom High School.

On June 29, 1929, she was united in marriage to Leslie Edwin Douglass at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. To this union two daughters were born: (Loraine Florence) Mrs. Robvert Clubbs of Winslow, Arizona, and (Virginia Lee) Mrs. Martin Duffey of Wabash, Indiana. Mrs. Douglass had made her home in the Malcom community most of her life.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Malcom; the Ladies Aid of the church; the Jolly Bunch Club and the Chat A Lot Club. She was an active worker with committees in the Farm Bureau and the 4-H. Survivors include her husband Leslie, and two daughters, as well as one grandchild, two brothers and two sisters: Mrs. Walter (Myrle) Audas of Malcom, Mrs. Clifford (Minerva) Johnson of Grinnell, Iowa.
