Bette Colleen Kelderman, 82, died on September 18 at the Westridge Specialty Care facility in Knoxville, IA. Mrs. Kelderman was born May 27, 1937 to parents Peter and Cornelia (Zylstra) Van Gorp in Pella, IA. She was the second of four children, The family lived on a farm west of Pella and she made profession of faith at Second Christian Reformed Church.

In June 1962, she married Darrell Kelderman of Oskaloosa and the couple moved to Ankeny, IA and later the Saylor Township. Mrs. Kelderman was a homemaker, but also worked at various times as a punch-card operator and day care provider. Her hobbies included gardening, jigsaw puzzles and needlework. She was active at the Des Moines Christian Reformed Church and in the Saydel school system where her two sons attended -- Eric (Ann) of Silver Spring, MD. and Christopher Ray (Cheryl) in Blaine, MN. Later the couple returned to live in Pella.

She has four grandchildren: Matthias and Elise (Eric’s children) and Mollie and Noah (Chrisopher’s children). Other survivors include her sister Esther (William Beimers) of Luverne, MN and her brother Robert (Sheila) of Newton, IA. She is preceded in death by her former husband, her parents and her older sister Donna. ~ The Van Dyk - Duven Funeral Home, Pella, Iowa 18 Sept 2019.
