Death of Resident's Sister

Mrs. Patrick "Ruth" Carey

Mrs. Patrick "Ruth" Carey, 64, of Des Moines died Wednesday, July 26, at the Mercy Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, 12 noon, at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Rosary was recited Friday evening. Father Paul A. Thetreau, S.J. officiated. Soloist was Martha Gagle. Interment was in McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax.

Surviors are her husband, two sons, Frank Gagle of Waterloo and Richard Gerischer of Des Moines; two daughters Delores Bitting of Palm Dale, California and Jeri Hutchins of Des Moines; five granddaughters and three grandsons; two brothers Lee and Ralph Bruce of Des Moines and four sisters, Mary Polka and Mabel Greer of Des Moines, Jeanne Tharp of Cedar Rapids and Muriel Bell of Colfax.

Lunch for approximately sixty relatives and friends was held at the Muriel Bell home following services.
