MARSHALLTOWN — Doris M. Bosma, 70, of Marshalltown formerly of Newton died Friday, Jan. 5, at her home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St John United Methodist Church of Christ in Marshalltown with the Rev. Linda Schmidt officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Marshalltown is handling arrangements.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home where family will be present from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to St John United Church of Christ.

The daughter of Clarence Charles and Lucille Fern Robbins Dammeier she was born Jan. 8, 1930, In Newton. She graduated from Newton High School She married Don Bosma on Sept. 9, 1950, in Eureka, S.D. She was a bookkeeper/secretary for St. John United Church of Christ and Thermal Gas of Marshalltown.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Judy Backoff of Marshalltown; a son, Jeff of Marshalltown; a brother, Donnie Dammeier of Newton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and Tom Schroyer of Baxter and Barb and Jeb Miller of Newton; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
