Alberta Fern Long, 89, of Baxter, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at Accura Healthcare of Baxter. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26 in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care, in Baxter, has been entrusted with the care of Alberta and her family.

Alberta was born on October 24, 1928 in Corwith, Iowa to Horal and Agnes (Fitch) Doland. Her family relocated to Newton where she attended school. After school she married George Long and the couple moved to Baxter in 1954. They raised their family in Baxter and Alberta worked at Colonial Manor as a dietary aide for 25 years. Alberta enjoyed traveling around town and sharing her opinion.
She leaves behind her daughters Pam (Jeff) Hugen, and Tammie Andreas; 6 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Alberta was preceded in death by her husband George, son Ronnie, sisters, and her brothers.
