KnoxvilleRonald Wayne Moser was born December 23, 1940 in Chariton, Iowa the son of Glenn and Edna (Eiby) Moser.
Ron graduated from Newton High School and soon after he enlisted in the United States Army. He served three years, mainly in Alaska before his honorable discharge. Ron primarily lived in the Newton and Monroe areas before moving to Knoxville in 1982. On August 28, 1982 Ron was united in marriage to Linda Miller. Ron worked for Vermeer Corporation for 34 years prior to retirement.
In his spare time, Ron enjoyed fishing, sports and NASCAR racing. Ron and Linda also enjoyed traveling to and attending NASCAR and NHRA events.Ron passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 75 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerry.
Those left to cherish Ron’s memory include his wife, Linda; children: Kelli Cooper of Newton, Rodney (Angie) Moser of Monroe, Scott (Denice) Rees of Waukee and Dee (Chad) Bradshaw of Ankeny; 8 grandchildren: Amanda (Steve) Banks, Brent (Angie) Berger, Kylie Cooper, Jacee Cooper, Evan Bradshaw, Taylor Bradshaw, Kayla Rees and Connor Rees; 6 great-grandchildren: Brayden, Brelee, Nia, Addilyn, Braxton and Jocelyn; siblings: Wesley Moser of Ankeny and Glennys Shaw of Newton and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
A Memorial Visitation for Ron Moser, age 75 of Knoxville, will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Inurnment, with Military Honors, will be held Thursday, November 3 at Graceland Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Gigi’s Playhouse in Des Moines.
