SEPTEMBER 27, 1936 ~ FEBRUARY 19, 2019 (AGE 82)

Sharonn Kay Buckman, 82 of Newton died on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 1, at Community Heights Alliance Church. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials to Sharonn’s family may be left at the church during the services or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (please make checks payable to Chuck Wagoner).

Sharonn, the daughter of William Harold and Frances (Wells) Wagoner, was born on September 27, 1936 in Newton. She graduated from Newton High School in 1954. On June 30, 1956, Sharonn was united in marriage with Ramon Buckman in West Des Moines. For 23 years, Ramon and Sharonn owned Maxwell Tax Service in Sacramento, California. In 2003, they retired and moved back to Newton where Sharonn provided daycare out of their home. Sharon was a member of the Community Heights Alliance Church.

Sharonn is survived by her grandchildren, Hannah (Andrew) Austin of Peoria, Arizona and Lizzie Minor (Dylan Varner) of Sacramento, California; two great-grandchildren, Sammy and Gradey and one more great-grandchild on the way; her step-children, Sherry Arnhols, Raeone Magnuson, Teri Buckman, and Karen Johnson and their families; siblings, Chuck (Shirleyanne) Wagoner of Newton, Jill Halvorson of San Jose, California, and Douglas Wagoner of Vallejo, California; and many extended family and church friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harold Wagoner and Frances Norris; husband, Ramon Buckman; daughter, Holly Minor; and brother, Bill Wagoner. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 19 Feb 2019.
