Services for Former Baxter Man Are Friday
Baxter (Special) – Funeral services for George Thomas lane, 81, of West Des Moines, former Baxter resident, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the McLaren funeral home in West Des Moines. Burial will be in Independence cemetery two miles south of Baxter.
Mr. Lane died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at his home in West Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife, the former Nellie Weeks, and a brother, Guy Lane of Colorado Springs, Colo., former Baxter postmaster.
The son of Rueben and Mary Lane, he was born in Baxter.
