MONROE – Edward C. Webb, son of Oliver and Catherine Webb, was born March 1, 1858, at Roseville, Ill., and died March 6, at the age of 79 years and five days.
When 12 years old he came with his parents to a farm near Prairie City, Ia. This was his home until about 20 years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Webb left the farm and moved to Monroe in 1921, and since that time Monroe had been their home.
