Mrs. Wagner, 71, Dies at Hospital
Fractured Hip in Fall March 4, One Daughter Survives
Mrs. Sarah Wagner, 71, died at Skiff Memorial hospital at 10 a.m. today.
Mrs. Wagner, who lived at 522 North Ninth Avenue East, fell, March 4, and broke her hip.
A daughter, Mrs. Case Harthorn of near Newton survives. Mrs. Wagner’s husband died about 20 years ago.
Funeral arrangements had not been made this afternoon.

Conduct Wagner Services Monday
Funeral Rites Held For Mrs. Sarah Wagner, 71-Year-Old Newton Woman
Funeral rites for Mrs. Sarah Wagner, 71, were conducted from the Morgan funeral home Monday at 2:30 p.m. by Mrs. Cordelia Peterson, pastor of the Free Methodist church.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Longreen, who sang, “Going Down the Valley” and “Over There.”
Interment was in the Newton Union cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Robert Austin, J. B. Booton, Charles Peterson, Milo Snodgrass, Edward Lloyd and Dr. A. A. Adamson.
Mrs. Wagner died Saturday morning at the Skiff Memorial hospital, where she had been a patient since suffering a fractured hip March 4.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Case Harthorn of near Newton.
