End Came Sunday
Funeral Is Held From Home Of Father, Charles Kaiser, On Tuesday Afternoon
Mrs. Thomas A. Kaiser died at a hospital in Chicago Sunday morning, Feb. 18th, at two o’clock, her death resulting from heart trouble, super induced by a nervous breakdown. Some weeks ago Mr. Cherry suffered an accident which necessitated an operation, and he was in the hospital four weeks. Worry over his condition caused the illness and ultimate death of Mrs. Cherry. The couple had been living in Highland Park, Ill.
The remains were brought to Baxter Monday morning, accompanied by her husband and her father, the latter having been summoned last week. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the home of her father, Charles Kaiser, conducted by Rev. Lehman, interment being made in the Bethany Reformed cemetery, near the grave of her mother.
Anna Martha Pauline Kaiser, the daughter of Charles and Marie Kaiser, was born near Baxter on February 18th, 1901, and died on February 18th, 1923, the twenty-second anniversary of her birth. She was baptized October 27, 1901. Her early education was received in the schools of the community where she made her home until her marriage to Thomas A. Cherry, which occurred on November 22, 1920.
Besides her husband, and her father she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Henry Witte, together with a number of other relatives and a host of friends.
Mrs. Cherry was a home-maker by nature and it was in the home that she shown at her best, and it was here greatest happiness and joy to be able to look after the wants of those near and dear to her. But she also found time to make friendships and many were the expressions of sorrow over her demise. To the sorrowing relatives is extended the sympathy of the entire community.
