FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. -Gladys M. Griggs, 89, a former long time resident of Newton, passed away on July 23, 2007, in Fountain Valley, Calif. Gladys worked for the Maytag Dairy Farm and Newton Manufacturing Company.

Gladys was preceded by two sons, Ron and Mike; one grandson, Mark; and her loving husband, Oliver.

Survivors include two sons Jim (Rose) of Santa Ana, Calif. and Terry (Pam) of Lake Forest, Calif.; one brother Duane of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters-in-law, Billie Moore of Newton and Helen Moore of Ottumwa; six nephews; nine grandchildren; 12 great-granchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
