BOONE -- Candy (Bingham) Oldenburger, 42, of Boone, formerly of Newton, died of cancer at her home Monday, Nov. 1, 2004.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton with Rev. Eugene Jipson officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel in Boone on Thursday from noon until 9 p.m., where the family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Visitation continues Friday at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be given to the family and left at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel in Boone or Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton to establish accounts for her children.

The daughter of Vear and Inez (Camp) Bingham, she was born in Newton on June 2, 1962. She attended school in Newton. In earlier years she was a driver for Cimarron Coach of Iowa. Recently she was a daycare provider at her home. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, swimming and bicycle riding.

Survivors include three daughters, Jessica Baker, Jasmine Oldenburger and Janessa Oldenburger, all of Boone; her mother, Inez (Bingham) Armstrong of Boone; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Marylou Bingham of Knoxville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Ron Swisher and Sandy and Joe Reynolds, all of Newton, and Belinda Mourlam of Boone; one grandson, Jordan Baker of Boone; and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, son Joshua and a nephew.
