KELLOGG -- Alvin Norton, 68, of Kellogg died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rock Creek Cemetery in rural Jasper County. Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alvin Norton Memorial Fund.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael of Newton, David and Jeannette of Kellogg and Craig and Keri of Auburn, Wash.; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Scott of Kalamazoo, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Mary Norton of Tracey, Calif.; and a half-brother, Terry Wierd of Burr Oak, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Julia (Storms) Norton; and three brothers, Jake, Leon and Larry Norton.
