LYNNVILLE -- Clinton Lee "Clint" Nikkel, 27, of Lynnville died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, in an auto accident east of Sully.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Sully with the Rev. Brice Hoyt, associate pastor of First Reformed Church in Sully, officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in Lynnville. Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in his name to go to his girlfriend, Dara Rawley (she was also in the accident) and her two sons, Trenton and Ty.

The son of Ronald E. and Vickie J. (Fleck) Nikkel, he was born April 3, 1977, in Pella. He graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School in 1995 and was a member of First Reformed church in Sully and the Diamond Trail Golf Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf and also enjoyed watching all levels of football. He worked as a carpenter for Lynnville Construction for the past six years. He lived in Sully and Lynnville his entire life.

Survivors include his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Jason Rozenboom of Pella; two nephews; maternal grandparents, Ray and Irene Fleck of Oskaloosa; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Polly Nikkel of Sully; and several aunts, uncles and his special friends, Dara Rawley and her two sons.

He was preceded in death by an aunt and his maternal and paternal great-grandparents.
