ELDORA -- Donald D. Kendall, 63, of Eldora died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora with the Rev. Randy Crane officiating. Cremation will follow with burial to occur at a later date.

Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will be present. A memorial fund has been established. To send messages of condolence, visit www.abelsfuneralhomes.com .

The son of Wilbur and Florence (Scott) Kendall, he was born June 10, 1941, in Gilmore City. At the age of two, he moved with his family to Colfax, where he also received his education. On Aug. 31, 1963, he married Karen Earles at First Methodist Church in Mingo. During the summer of 1966, the family moved to Eldora. He was an auto body mechanic and worked for Purvis Body Shop and Wood Auto in Eldora, and also Don's Body Shop in Boone. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Jami Kendall and Kelly and Marcia Kendall, all of Eldora, and Michael Kendall of Boynton Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; one brother, Jim Kendall of Colfax; one sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Keith McCuen of Colfax; five sisters-in-law, Wilma Churchill and her husband Hubert of Newton, Pat Lewis and her husband Richard of Colfax, Barbara Dhondt and her husband Dan of Republic, Mo., Sherrie Rutherford and her husband Jerry of Gilman, Brenda Jones and her husband Craig of Colfax; one brother-in-law Bill Earles and his wife Jean of Colfax; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Beryl and Lowell Kendall; and two sisters, Betty Kendall and Shelby Walters.
