Alice Faye Robinson, 85, of rural Baxter passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa. Visitation for Alice will be on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the Bethany United Church of Christ outside of Baxter. Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. A private family burial in Bethany Cemetery, rural Baxter, will follow the services.

Alice was born on February 25, 1933 in rural Baxter to Leroy and Clara (Traeger) Krampe. She attended Baxter Community School, graduating with the class of 1951. She married Gerald "Gunny" Robinson on October 5, 1951 and they were married for 62 years. The couple farmed near Baxter and raised their children on the farm.

Alice was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ near Baxter where she served as secretary, organist, and part of Bethany Women's Fellowship for many years. She was also a member of the National Farmers Organization, Grange, Ever Ready Club, and Red Hat Society. Alice also worked the polls for Malaka and Independence Townships over the years. She was a very strong supporter of the Baxter community and school.

Alice is survived by her three sons, Jim (Brenda), John & Jay and two daughters, Jean & Jolene (Robin) Harlow; nine grandchildren: Jason (Jenny) & Cory (Jennifer) Robinson, Josh & Jessica Robinson, Eric, Billy & Ryan Harlow, and Julia (Kyle) Patterson, and Lee Robinson; two great-grandchildren, Cade & Alec (Cory & Jennifer); sisters Edith Allspach and Marjorie (Ed) Frohbieter; sisters-in-law Erika Krampe and Doris "Jo" Chandler; cousin-in-law Louis Saak; many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jerry, sister Joanne (Dale) Tipton, brothers Art (Vera) Krampe, and Armin Krampe, brothers-in-law Richard Albee, George Allspach, and Jim Chandler, sisters-in-law Marjorie Marshall, Dorothy McEachern, and Betty (Harold) Roberts, and niece Jennifer Smith.

Memorials can be given to Bethany United Church of Christ or the Baxter Education Foundation.
