Colfax - Walter Gulling, 77, of Colfax died Monday, Aug. 11, at the Colonial Manor in Baxter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Baxter. Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Foundation will be accepted.
Survivors are his wife, Mary; two sons, Richard of Newton and Robert Wayne of Colfax; a step-son, Wayne Wagner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Ernest of Chetek, Wis.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Gulling, a member of the UAW, Local 997, had retired in 1972 from the Maytag Co. in Newton where he was employed in the machining department.
The son of Charles and Dorcus Waller Gulling, he was born May 2, 1909 at Runnells.
He was married to Mary Catherine Neal (Wagner) June 3, 1961 in Des Moines.
