Notice of Death: Mrs. Bodley

Colfax - Mrs. Bodley, mother of Mrs. Jessie Slavens, died at the residence of Mr. Slavens on last Sunday at 10:30 o'clock, a.m. The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church here today. The relatives and friends with the corpse took the 10:55 train for Metz, where they will be met with teams to convey them to the cemetery north of Metz where she will be interred. We understand that her husband was buried there. Mrs. Bodley died from a cancer in her mouth. ~ Iowa State Democrat, Newton, Iowa, March 16, 1882
