Mary Elizabeth Bohannon, 87, of Fulton passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Presbyterian Manor in Fulton after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 14, 1926 in Oxford, Mississippi, the eldest child of the late James and Lily Rush Hargrove.

On August 3, 1946 she married Lenord Bohannon in Oakland, California. He survives of the home.

Mary is also survived by her daughter, Michelle Bohannon Yahnig (Ed) of New Bloomfield; grandson Caleb Yahnig, of New Bloomfield; brothers James C Hargrove of Napa Valley, California, Lonnie Hargrove of Wappapello, Missouri, Tommy Hargrove of Morehouse, Missouri; and one sister, Erma Hargrove Michael of Wappapello, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Wilber Hargrove, and 2 sisters, Ruth Hargrove Schwab and Betty Hargrove Cagel.

Before her retirement in 2000, Mary worked as a secretary at the Callaway County Farm Bureau office for 25 years. She had tremendous faith in God, and prior to her illness enjoyed services and activities at Southside Baptist Church in Fulton. Mary also enjoyed reading, baking and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Wednesday, March 12, at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Guy Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 until the time of service at the funeral home.
