Des Moines - Janice Bailiff, 72, passed away September 20, 2018 at Genesis Senior Living Center. Janice was born September 3, 1946 in Colfax, Iowa to Forest and Lorene Inglis, Jr. She graduated from Mingo High School in 1965. Janice retired in 2001 from EMC Insurance. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Janice was an avid reader. She enjoyed playing bingo, birdwatching, especially goldfinch and listening to rock & roll oldies. Janice loved animals and angels.
Janice is survived by her children, Johnnie Bailiff, Lisa Bailiff and Melinda Bailiff; siblings, Mickey (Pat) Inglis, Connie Inglis and Trudy (Harlan) Freerksen; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will greet friends Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Janice will be laid to rest at Union Chapel Cemetery in Ira, Iowa. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Janice.
