David Wayne Baldwin, age 63 of Colfax, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. The family will have a celebration of Life on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Izaak Walton League in Newton with food provided. There will be an obituary reading and prayer at 7:00 p.m. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of Floyd N. Baldwin and Janet Lee Gibson, Dave was born on August 12, 1955 in Des Moines. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1974. On October 27, 1979 he was united in marriage to Kathy "Kate" Davidson in Colfax. Dave worked in the Paint Department at Maytag, retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League in Newton and the Blues Society. Dave enjoyed listening to blues music, riding his Harley, classic cars, NASCAR, working in his yard and being with friends and family and having a bon fires.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Kathy; furry child Joanie; his mother, Janet; three sisters, Kathy Gosehal-Nickols, Julie (Craig) Warner and Karan Rhone; brother-in-law, Mike (Nancy) Davidson; sister-in-law, Jenny Elliott and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Margaret Gibson and Ireta Baldwin; a brother, Michael Lee "Mickey" Baldwin; a niece, Kasie Jo, sister-in-law, Paula and three fur children Kizzer, Pete & Pearl. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 23 Sept 2018.
