Mrs. Marlowe Stiffler, 32, Died in Des Moines
Mrs. Marlowe (Donna Lee) Stiffler, 32, of the Colfax – Prairie City rural area, died Monday noon, July 6 1964, at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Friday night while with her husband and children, visiting her mother in Prairie City.
The daughter of john and Oleta Clymer, she was born March 27, 1932 at Colfax and spent her lifetime in this area.
She was a graduate from the Colfax High School in 1950 and attended the State University of Iowa at Iowa City for two years.
On March 29, 1952, she was married to Marlowe Stiffler at Winterset.
Mrs. Stiffler was a member of the Prairie City Methodist church.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Stiffler is survived by her husband four children, the eldest 11 and the youngest 5, Charles, Cynthia, Craig and Nancy; and her mother, Mrs. Oleta Clymer of Prairie City.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (today) at the Prairie City Methodist Church. Rev. Arthur Hamanns, minister of the church, conducted the services.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Art De Raad, organist and Mrs. George Frank, soloist.
Bearers were Art Stremfel, Jerry Kunze, Melvin Van Dusseldorp, Lyle Pohlman, John Frank and Joe Williams.
Burial was in Waveland Cemetery at Prairie City.
