Yesterday afternoon William Bartlett Penman, a miner at Seevers, committed suicide by shooting himself through the heart. He was a man about twenty-five years of age and leaves a wife and two children. No cause is given for the deed. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, Monday, February 18, 1907, Page 1, Column 3
