They then moved to Ohio, where she was married at the age of 18 to Joseph Bean. In 1868 they came to Jasper County, Iowa, and located where they lived until death called her home. There were seven children born to them, five of which survive her Chas. F., Alonzo, Harvey, Eugene and Frank. Her husband died only a little over a week ago.

Mrs. Bean professed the Christian religion in early life and always lived a true Christian life.
