Sherman -- Allen Beals, who accompanied his brother Charley to Missouri a few weeks ago, was taken sick and telegraphed for his father, David Beals, who arrived there last Thursday, but his son had died only a few hours previous. Allen has been a resident of our township, and his many friends will regret his departure from this world. ~ The Newton Record Friday, November 15, 1895
