Prairie City, Iowa 50228Marilyn Louise Nolin, age 81 of Prairie City, passed away on Saturday, Jun 16, 2018, at Jefferson Place in Pella. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Prairie City Church of The Brethren. Burial will take place at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Memorials may be directed to the Prairie City Church of The Brethren, Prairie City Ambulance or Wesley Life Hospice. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com
The daughter of Harold and Ruby (Squire) Miller, Marilyn was born on July 12, 1936 in Vandalia, Iowa. She graduated from Prairie City High School in 1954. On June 30, 1956, she was united in marriage to Carroll Dean Nolin at the Prairie City Christian Church. Marilyn was a member of the Prairie City Church of The Brethren. She enjoyed square dancing, doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, playing cards and baking.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Carroll; three children, Donnie (Amy) Nolin, Ronnie Nolin, and Brenda Cloyd; six grandchildren, Jennifer Curry, Jon Nolin, Janelle Nolin, Christina Dowdell, Ashley Hill, and Grace Cloyd; six great grandchildren, Thatcher, Kaiya, Karis and Thia Dowdell, Ivan and Kaeson Hill and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Marilyn in death were her parents, a sister, Diane Huetter and two brothers, Richard and Bill Miller. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Prairie City, Iowa 16 June 2018.
