Mr. Schlosser whose home is in Kerrobert, Sask., Canada, has been in failing health for some time and he and his wife came to Rochester, Minn., some time ago, where the physicians gave him little hope of ever being well. He visited relatives in and around Colfax several weeks lately.

John Henry Schlosser, second son of John and Barbara Volk Schlosser, was born in Pella, Iowa July 29, 1861, and died December 26th, 1924, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Howard Hayes, near Hedrick, Iowa.
His early days were spent in the vicinity of Pella and prairie City, Ia.
In the spring of 1885, he was united in marriage to Miss Estella Parks. To this union seven children were born, Mrs. Mable Meyer of Berkley, Calif.; Roy Schlosser of Washington state; Mrs. Howard Hayes of Hedrick, Iowa; Ross Schlosser of Kerrobert, Sask., Canada; Carol Schlosser, of Cut Bank, Montana and Mrs. Norman Moore of Broadacus, Sask., Canada. All with the wife and mother survive him. One infant child having preceded him in death.
His married life was spent on a farm near Prairie City until fourteen years ago. He and his family then moved to Canada.
He has been a member of the Christian Church for the past 36 years. He was also a member of the Modern Woodman of America.
He has been in declining health the past year, which caused him to seek other climates and medical advice in Rochester, Minn., and other places. His kind of sympathetic disposition endeared him to all who knew him.
He was of the best of husbands and fathers and will be sadly missed by all of the family.
The deceased suffered a stroke of apoplexy and the grim reaper followed in a few hours.
Besides his family he leaves to mourn his loss, four brothers and two sisters and other relatives and friends.
All of the children excepting Mrs. W. F. Meyer of California and Roy Schlosser of Washington were with their mother to bid the father a last fond farewell.
