Services for fire victims are conducted
Funeral services for the four victims of Friday’s fire in Newton, Peggy Sue Mudra and Randy, James Emil and Carrie Ann Morris, were held this morning at the Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Robert Stewart, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Survivors of Carrie Ann, 1, and James Emil, 3, are their grandmother, Mrs. Betty French of Booneville, Ark; their maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Stoulil of Newton; and step-grandmother, Mrs. Dora Mudra of Newton.
They were preceded in death by their grandfathers, Edward Morris and Junior Mudra.
The children of Randy Joe and Peggy Sue Mudra Morris, James was born Nov. 10, 1977 and Carrie Sept. 28, 1979.
Mr. Morris’s survivors are his mother, Betty French of Booneville, Ark., a brother, Danny Wayne Morris of Booneville, Ark.; and three sisters, Karlyn Grant of Fort Smith, Ark., Linda Tripp of Gurden, Ark., and Charlene Morris of Booneville, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The son of Edward and Betty Mosher Morris, he was born Dec. 17, 1959 in Booneville, Ark., and was educated in Booneville, Ark., and Gainesville, Fla. schools.
Joint funeral services for the four fire victims will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home.

Ms. Mudra’s survivors are seven brothers, Dwayne Wright of Tama, Wilbur Reavis of Newton, Larry Reavis, Terry Mudra, Robert Mudra, John Mudra and Buddy Stoulil; and four sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Martin of Newton, Mrs. Virgil (Lois) Hesse of Newton, Debbie McDermott of Newton and Rita Reavis of Newton; her mother, Mrs. Bernie (Patricia) Stoulil of Newton; her step-mother, Mrs. Dora Mudra of Newton; and her father, Junior Mudra.
She was born Aug. 28, 1958 in Newton.
James Emil Morris was born Nov. 10, 1977 and Carrie Ann Morris was born Sept. 28, 1979.
