Dec 16. 1035 - May 05, 2018Gerald Vernon Wilcox Sr., of Trenton, Mo., formerly of Newton, was born Dec. 16, 1935, to George and Ella Wilcox. He passed away quietly in his sleep Saturday, May 5, 2018, with his three daughters by his side.
Left to honor Gerald is his devoted wife, Trudie Wilcox of Trenton, Mo.; daughters, Barbra (Harvey) Doyle of Dyersburg, Tenn., Sheryl (Terry) Van Baale of Newton and Melissa (Ron) McConnell of Des Moines; sons, Frank (Robin) Wilcox of Donna, Texas and Gerald (Connie) Wilcox Jr. of Newton; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his brother, Johnny Wilcox of Newton; and his sister, Trudy Ashby of Newton.
Gerald was proceeded in death by his parents, George and Ella Wilcox; 15 siblings; and two great-grandchildren. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, 11 May 2018.
