Old Man Dies In Street
Henry P. Benedict, of Long Beach, Calif., died on the street near the rear driveway of the J. W. McLaughlin home in Newton Tuesday night. Mr. McLaughlin discovered the body as he started to his place of business a little before seven o’clock Wednesday morning. It was lying beside the walk and was stiff and cold. The body had, presumably, lain there all night. The deceased was at one time a resident of Newton, but for many years had made his home in California. He was about 60 years old and unmarried.
