After several weeks of illness, Mrs. William [Mary A.] Stillings died at her home in Sherman Township, Thursday morning, December 13. She was born in Carroll County, Kentucky, June 14, 1845 and at the time of her death was sixty-one years, 5 months and 28 days old.

During her illness she was cared for tenderly and all that loving hearts could do was done to arrest and overcome the disease, which caused her death.

The funeral will be held Saturday, December 15, from the home and the interment will be in the McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax.

Deceased is survived by a husband, three sons and two daughters. ~ The Newton Daily News, Friday, December 14, 1906, Page 3, Column 2
