This morning about 5 o’clock John Rhordanz died at his home three miles east of Reasnor. He was a man about seventy-seven years old. The cause of his death is supposed to have been heart failure.
The deceased was a long time resident of Jasper County, coming here nearly sixty years ago, and settling in the locality where his death occurred.
He leaves besides his aged wife, two daughters, Mrs. Charles Birkenholtz, Mrs. L. F. Schultz and one son, Fred Rhordanz, all residing near his home. Mrs. John Van Dusseldorf, residing east of town is his granddaughter, and Mrs. Christ Griebeling of this city, his niece.
The funeral will be held Monday at 10 o’clock. ~ The Newton Daily News, Saturday, November 10, 1906, Page 1, Column 5
