Terry Tim Trotter died in his home Dec. 24, 2017. He was 77.

Terry was born Dec. 16, 1940, to Sam and Cecile Trotter in Newton. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Barbara Bassett-Trotter in 1961, and starting a family, Terry and Barb decided to make the move to the shores of Oxnard, Calif. There he started his work in the oil and aerospace industries and raised their children. Excelling in all sports early in life, Terry volunteered at Statham Baseball Little League as a coach for many years. After retiring, he made another move to Hesperia, Calif., with his new wife, Cassandra Trotter. Together, they would refinish furniture and sell in antique shops and the like.

Terry is survived by both ex-wives; sons, Kelly and Kurt Trotter; and his daughter, Kerrie Trotter. He was preceded in death by both parents; and brothers, Jack, Ron and Dave.
Terry asked to be cremated and his remains to belong within the family to do with as they wish.

There will be a memorial for Terry from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at Woodland Park at the ball diamond field. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News 15 Mar 2018.
